About me - who's behind EeasyWeightLoss

Hi, my name is Kim Davis, and I live on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Kim Davis

I never had problems with my weight until about 6 years ago. Then I gradually started to put on weight - about 6kg. Until then, I didn't understand what all the fuss was about for people saying they couldn't lose weight. It just didn't make sense. Food was never that interesting in the way it seemed to be for other people. Sometimes I would be busy and would forget to eat.

I am like a dog with a bone. As your average learning junkie and book reading nerd, I wanted a real explanation and I was prepared to go beyond the typical advice of...

  • It's just math - eat less calories than you burn
  • You can't lose weight unless you do aerobics
  • You have to know how many calories you eat in a day
  • You have to override your cravings - it's all about self discipline

Because I wanted to know, if something has never been a problem before, what has changed? I have not suddenly become undisciplined, I had not suddenly become overwhelmed with cravings, I had not suddenly started eating when I wasn't hungry and if I had never done aerobic exercise before, then that isn't the problem.

I am not writing this site as an "expert". I am putting together this website together with what I have learned over this time. What works, what has real research behind it rather than "everyone knows that..."

The stuff I have researched and learned, but also to try to make sense of all the conflicting advice from all those so called "experts". Who would have us believe our bodies aren't capable of maintaining a healthy weight. There are so many puzzle pieces and so many agendas. Everyone with some product to sell reckons they have "the answer"

I am passionate about thinking, business and change management, and Internet programming, having lots of qualifications in all these things. I have a lovely daughter and 3 grand children

Tip

We all want to know the best exercises to lose weight quickly. Most of us have busy lives and don't have time to waste. There are two basic kinds of exercise, aerobic and muscle building. They both target weight loss in different ways.
