The Calorie Burn Calculator

The calorie burn calculator uses the concept of METs (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) for particular activities. A Metabolic Equivalent measures the energy cost of physical activities. 1 MET for you is the energy you consume at rest.
While an accurate measurement of how much oxygen you use is done during a fitness test, a MET is a useful way to see the relative calorie burning for different activities. Calories burned by exercise = ((MET * 3.5 * weight in kg) / 200) * duration in minutes

10 swimming laps, freestyle, fast, vigorous effort
11 running, 6.7 m/hr (9 mins to the mile)
